Integration overview

Introduction

Launched in May 2019, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy is a curated global vacation rental offering providing travelers, including members of the Marriott Bonvoyâ„¢ loyalty program, access to more than 28,000 premium and luxury homes across nearly 250 destinations. The collection is backed by Marriott International, which also encompasses a portfolio of more than 7,600 hotels under 30 leading brands spanning 132 countries and territories.

Integration model

Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy is the next Sales Channel (SC) that has been successfully integrated with Rentals United. Property Managers (PMs) can now connect to Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy and start advertising their properties through this channel.

In this integration type, the data flow is the following:

  • full property content is sent to the channel upon initial connection;

  • subsequent content updates are performed on demand from Rentals United;

  • availability and pricing is sent to the channel immediately after they change in Rentals United;

  • reservations, modifications and cancellations are supported.

Categorization

This channel is categorized as a Holiday Rental Website (HRW). Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy sells single properties mostly. In this system, guests choose the exact place they are staying at.

Multi-units are supported for Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy. The channel will show on their website a single listing which can be booked multiple times. Every time the property is booked, the number of available unit is decreased.

Contract details

In case you intend to advertise the properties on Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, you need to agree on a contract. With Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, the below agreements come into life:

Where to start: Start with Establishing connection or Establishing connection.

  • New clients: You will need to fill out the form to request cooperation with the channel. When the channel accepts the cooperation request, you will be provided with an HMC ID that you will use to connect your Rentals United and Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy accounts.

  • Existing clients: Please reach out to your Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy contact to request HMC ID to connect your Rentals United and Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy accounts.

Onboarding time: An average onboarding time is 6 weeks, depending on the number of properties. If you have not received any response from Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy after this time, please contact the Rentals United Support Team. If you want to check if the properties are already live on Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, please contact hvmbinventory@marriott.com.

Commission: It is approximately 10 - 20% and will be agreed upon contract. Note, however, that the commission amount may be different, depending on the conditions you establish with Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy.

Payment processHomes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy takes responsibility for charging the guest.
